HOW IT WORKS
Step 1
Make your choiceChoose between a 500 or 1,000 minute monthly Lime subscription through CycleSaver.
Step 2
Submit your applicationWe'll handle your application with your employer to administer the salary sacrifice arrangement. If they are not registered with us, we will contact them to do so first.
Step 3
Receive your VouchersYou will receive a unique voucher code every month that can be redeemed within the Lime mobile app.
Step 4
Enjoy your SavingsYour subscription costs will be deducted from you pre-tax (gross) salary, resulting in savings of 28% to 47%.
Other Information:
- - Ride bundle vouchers are sent monthly and need to be redeemed in the Lime app. Ride bundle minutes are valid for 30 days from the day of redemption.
- - If you use all your ride bundle minutes during the month, you can purchase another ride bundle in the Lime app, or ride with the pay-as-you-go rates.
- - We will need your Employer to sign-up to CycleSaver. This is because they will be responsible for approving your application, and for the salary deductions each month.
- - If your Employer is not yet signed-up to CycleSaver, we will liaise with them to do so. Just leave your HR details as part of your application process and we will handle the rest!
HOW DO I SAVE?
Cycle-to-work is a salary sacrifice benefit which means the cost of your subscription gets deducted from your pre-tax (gross) salary. This is before tax and National Insurance are calculated, so you pay less tax and National Insurance overall.
The amount you save depends on your income tax bracket.

Where does Lime operate?
Lime operates e-bikes in 4 cities in the UK: London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham and Derby.
Are there any additional charges?
As long as you ride under 500 or 1000 minutes each month, according to your ride bundle selection, and park responsibly - there are no additional charges.
How do I receive my monthly ride bundle minutes?
Each month you will be sent a ride bundle voucher which you can redeem in the Lime mobile application. Your minutes are valid for 30 days after the redemption of the ride bundle in the Lime app.
Does this benefit also apply to Lime e-scooters?
No, this is for Lime e-bikes only. This is because cycle-to-work legislation currently includes bicycles and e-bikes only.

What is the Cycle to Work scheme?
The Cycle to Work scheme is a government-backed initiative that allows employees to purchase or hire a bicycle through their employer, making it more affordable through salary sacrifice.
How does the Cycle to Work scheme work?
Employees choose a subscription from participating partner, and the employer purchases this subscription items on their behalf. The cost is then deducted from the employee's gross (pre-tax) salary (known an 'Salary Sacrifice') over a set period of 12 months.
What is salary sacrifice, and how does it benefit me?
Salary sacrifice means giving up part of your salary in exchange for the bike share subscription. This reduces your taxable income, resulting in potential savings on income tax and National Insurance contributions.
HOW TO APPLY
Am I eligible to participate in the Cycle to Work scheme?
Most employees in the UK are eligible, but it's essential to check with your employer, as eligibility criteria can vary. Typically, you need to be on the payroll and subject to PAYE tax. Eligible Employees must be at least 18 years of age and are subject to Lime’s Terms of Use and Privacy Agreement.
How do apply for a cycle to work bike sharing subscription?
Simply click on the Apply Now button, select your product and provide us with information on your employer as well as your personal information. We’ll contact your company and will communicate with you once everything has been approved and finalised.
Does my company need to be signed-up with CycleSaver.co.uk for me to take advantage of this?
Anyone can apply as long as you are eligible, however your company needs to be willing to administer the salary sacrifice arrangement for you. If your company isn't registered, you can provide us with your company's HR contact information in your application and we will be in touch with them to register with us so you can enjoy the benefits that CycleSaver has to offer!
ABOUT YOUR LIME SUBSCRIPTION
What if I leave my job during the salary sacrifice period?
Your Lime bike subscription will be cancelled once you leave your current Employer. You can take out a new Lime subscription from your new employer as long as they are signed up to CycleSaver.
How does the Lime subscription work?
Your Lime subscription will renew automatically each month. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription at any time via the CycleSaver portal.
